Professional Footballers and Well-being

We chat to Dez Giraldi a former Under 17 and Under 23 Australian National team player who during his career played for Empoli in Seria A, Adelaide United and Sydney FC in the A-League before retiring at the age of only 23 due persistent injuries and what was later diagnosed as anxiety. Dez tells us how his move to Seria A come about at only 17, straight from the AIS and how his move back to the A-League began his anxiety and eventual retirement. We chat on the PFA study done on Professional Footballers well-being and how the A-League and FFA need to do more to address a growing issue in the game.
